The above visualization shows the percentage of eligible Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans by county. As you can see, the more urban a county is, the higher a percentage of eligible beneficiaries are enrolled in a MA plan. The highest concentration of Medicare Advantage enrollee's can be found in Miami-Dade County, while the lowest concentration is found in Monroe County. This is likely due to the fact that more urban counties tend to have more plans available, as shown by the visualization below.
